A Hero: Ali ibn Abi Talib (RA) One of the most honorable of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) friends and family members was Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him). He married Fatimah bint Muhammad (RA), making him the Prophet’s son-in-law and cousin. Ali was one of the first kids to embrace Islam when he was born in Makkah in 600 CE. Early Life and Islam’s Acceptance Ali spent a large portion of his early years under the care of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who raised him at his home. Ali, the first kid to believe in Islam, readily adopted the faith when the Prophet got the first revelation. His Battles for Islam Ali was a knowledgeable, courageous, and morally upright fighter.
